Ubiquiti launches three new Enterprise WiFi 7 APs
Ubiquiti has today revealed the E7, E7 Campus and E7 Audience

Last week, our development team has rolled out the latest version of UniFi Network to our servers, with version 8.1.113. This follows on from 8.0.26 which we pushed out in late January. This version of UniFi was fast tracked to all of our UniFi servers due to a security advisory bulletin from Ubiquiti. Even though our dev team didn't believe this was actually possible on HostiFi servers, we upgraded all servers to 8.1.113 just in case.
Ubiquiti said that the issue: "Allows a malicious actor with UniFi Network Application Administrator credentials to escalate privileges to root." We also confirmed with a Ubiquiti employee that it would have required a Super Admin to escalate to root, it wouldn't work for a site Admin or read-only Admin.
As always, our team always works hard to vet the update releases, and skip any versions that have issues or bugs. Customers can now choose a schedule for when updates on UniFi and UISP are carried out.
Between 8.0.26 and 8.1.113 was 8.0.28 which was primary a bug fix release, focusing on various provisioning issues and display problems. However, 8.1.113 is a pretty large release, with lots of new features, so we'll go over some of the major improvements which have been made since:
You can see the rest of the additions and bug fixes from 8.1.113 in Ubiquiti's full release notes.
HostiFi provides hosting for both Ubiquiti and TP-Link software-defined-networking (SDN) applications, with servers for UniFi, UISP and Omada. We also offer professional networking consulting, with HostiFi Pro.
