Ubiquiti discontinues free UISP Cloud Hosting
Ubiquiti stops offering free UISP Cloud Hosting
October 18, 2024
I started with HostiFi a few months ago in May and I'm responsible for making all of our new how to guides over at support.hostifi.com as well new videos on our YouTube channel. To make this process much easier, I decided to work on a basic home lab environment for testing new configuartions out and looking at new hardware that might not work in my production home network.
I have the new UXG Pro, connected to main LAN network so we have Double-NAT happening here. Then, two US-8-150W switches connected via link aggregation (LAG) and a UAP AC Lite.
The switches are connected in this way for a new support article I have been working on this week. It demonstrates how to setup LAG in your own network using UniFi.
Everything here is of course connected out to a HostiFi UniFi instance and this has no problem connecting through a double NAT setup.
What's nice about this is because the UXG Pro is connected to HostiFi, once I plug a new device in, such as a new switch there is no configuration to do to make it connect out to HostiFi. I just need to make sure the device has been factory reset and then click adopt.
Logged into UniFi, you can see all of devices connected to this HostiFi instance. Because I live in the UK, I could select the closest server to me which was London which reduces the latency considerably.
Contact HostiFi for all your UniFi and UISP hosting needs at support@hostifi.com, or by using the live chat on our website. HostiFi Pro offers professional network services, specialising in Ubiquiti hardware and software.
