Ubiquiti launches three new Enterprise WiFi 7 APs
Ubiquiti has today revealed the E7, E7 Campus and E7 Audience

Ubiquiti this week has announced the third model in the still relatively new line of UXG devices. The original UXG Pro was revealed in EA back in 2022 and finally went on sale in 2022, I took a look at it at the time and got it adopted to a HostiFi UniFi controller. Ubiquiti then followed it up with the UXG Lite, a super well priced, small device that looks to directly replace the ageing USG 3P, but it did lack proper support for dual-WAN and this, is where the new UXG Max comes in.
The new UXG Max is positioned between the UXG Lite and the UXG Pro, which are priced at $129 and $499 respectively. The new UXG Max costs $199 and uses the exact same chassis as the UCG-Ultra, just minus the LCM screen. Around back, we have five 2.5GbE Ethernet ports, four of which are LAN and the other one being WAN. Ubiquiti does say that one of those LAN ports can be remapped to support WAN2, which is fantastic news.
This is also the first UXG device with four LAN ports, making smaller installs that bit more flexible and maybe removing the need for a switch, however bear in mind that those ports don't have PoE.
With the UXG Lite, it is capable of handling 1Gbps traffic with IDS and IPS enabled, which was a huge increase over the original USG, which could only handle 75mbps. The new UXG Max can handle 1.5Gbps traffic with IDS and IPS enabled.
The new UXG Max is available to purchase on the official Ubiquiti store, for $199. It also, is fully compatible with HostiFi powered UniFi servers.
HostiFi provides hosting for both Ubiquiti and TP-Link software-defined-networking (SDN) applications, with servers for UniFi, UISP and Omada. We also offer professional networking consulting, with HostiFi Pro.
