Ubiquiti launches three new Enterprise WiFi 7 APs
Ubiquiti has today revealed the E7, E7 Campus and E7 Audience
December 2, 2024
Today, Ubiquiti released a new major update for the UISP application, bringing a number of much requested features to the product as well as some nice changes for the UISP Console/Router devices.
At HostiFi we are testing out all the new features to make sure it is stable and suitable to be rolled out to our customers. Once this is deemed so, we'll be communicating it out.
On the UISP Router and UISP Console, Ubiquiti has now added full support for Dynamic DNS and DNS Forwarding rules. This brings these devices a bit closer to being fully fledged routers, managed through UISP.
If you have remote devices but cannot get SSH access to them easily, then just like within UniFi - Ubiquiti is adding support for a terminal (remote shell). This does require a beta version of firmware for both the UISP S and EdgeSwitch X, but that should be available soon.
It is now possible to edit GPS coordinates within UISP 1.4.7, prior to this you would have to either change the address or delete the entire site then make a new one.
A new much wider pane of glass to edit the more advanced configgarions on the UISP Console and UISP Router.
More information about the new UISP release, 1.4.7 can be found on the official community post on Ubiquiti's site. In the mean time, the team here at HostiFi is actively testing this release to make sure there are no nasty surprises, if all goes well we will likely push the update soon to our UniFi servers.
